Appointments and Cancellations
Appointments
An appointment is the best way to guarantee you will receive my massage therapy
service when you want it. Often, if I am not with a client in my office, I will be out in the lobby of 425 Madison offering
chair massage. While I encourage you to make a chair massage appointment, drop-ins are welcome, too!
New clients
Please make your appointment either by telephone at 541.344.7534
or email at givingtree@earthlink.net. Please leave a message with your phone number and the best time to reach you
when you call. You may also tell me your requested date and time for your massage when you call or email and I will get back
to you ASAP to confirm your appointment. Please note: until you receive your confirmation notice by phone or email from Lawrence
of GivingTree Massage, your appointment is not valid.
New clients are urged to arrive approximately 5 - 10 minutes early
for their appointment to complete required paperwork if you cannot print and fill out the new client intake form ahead of
time.
I allow for approximately 10 - 15 minutes of intake time, not including your massage table time, which
is always the time that you pay for. Some intakes may take much longer due to your health issues or other concerns. I reserve
the right to add a nominal fee to intakes that go over 15 minutes. This fee may be as low as $5 or as much as $125 depending
on how much time we spend discussing your issues. Please let me know ahead of time if you cannot afford or do not agree to
these potential charges so we can make other arrangements that work for both of us, thank you.
PLEASE
NOTE: Failure to arrive early for your first session to complete paperwork may result in less table time for you but
you will still be charged for your fully scheduled session. Also, if you are going to be late to your appointment, please
let me know! It may still work out for you to enjoy your full massage depending on my schedule. However, please realize that
your massage may need to be shortened due to time constraints. I do everything reasonable to accommodate my clients, but when
I have a busy schedule, my flexibility is limited.
Cancellations and No Shows
Prevent getting charged or having your gift certificate invalidated
by canceling your appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
Failure to provide 24 hours notice, by phone (not text) or email constitutes a "No Show".
A No Show may invalidate the gift certificate
or coupon meant to be used for the massage therapy session.
A No Show may result in a charge for a full
session on pre-paid accounts.
Future
appointments after a No Show may require payment of a missed visit fee ($35) and prepayment of the next massage therapy session.
The sooner I know you need to cancel or reschedule your massage, the easier it is for me to find you a
new appointment. Canceling with advance notice also gives me an opportunity to schedule a client in your place. Every client
is important to me! I do understand that things happen, however, please respect my time and energy by keeping your appointment
or rescheduling it well ahead of time, thank you.
Q. Why might I be charged a fee for
missing a massage appointment?
If I have scheduled your massage and then you do not inform me at least 24 hours in advance that you are canceling
your appointment, I may not be able to schedule another client to take your place. I do understand that things happen and
I will try to work with you if events overtake your appointment, however, a late-canceled appointment is time wasted and money
I may not get back. Also, if I have confirmed and scheduled your appointment with you, I assume that you have it on your calendar.
Please don't forget about it! Contact me to reschedule you to prevent a possible no-show fee.
Q. What if I'm late for my massage
appointment?
A. My massages are a
full 30/60 / 90 / 120 minutes on the table. To provide a comfortable buffer between my clients, I generally schedule my one-hour
appointments in one-and-a-half-hour blocks, and my one-and-a-half-hour massages in two-hour blocks, etc. Please plan to arrive
at least five - ten minutes early to fill out your intake form and to ask any questions. Out of courtesy to my next client,
if you are late you will receive only the amount of time left for your appointment.
Q. Is it difficult to get an appointment? Are some times
more available than others?
A.
No, it's not hard to get an appointment if you can be flexible. Some times and days are more popular than others, of course,
and are harder to get unless you plan ahead. For instance, morning appointments and appointments right after work are popular
and harder to get - you may have to schedule those times two weeks or more in advance. When it's available, Saturday is
a popular day and you may need to schedule well ahead of time.
Q. Can I get a same-day table massage appointment?
A. It's possible but unlikely. If it's available,
I'll get you on the schedule when you call/email but it's rare that same day appointments are always available. However,
you are certainly welcome to ask, since I may have a cancellation.
Q. I called for an appointment but just got your voicemail, now what?
A. I may be unavailable or with a client and unable to return
your call right away. Please be patient, you are important to me! Leave your message on my voicemail with your name and phone
number, the best time to return your call, and the best time & day for your massage. Your call matters to me and I will
return all calls in the order they are received ASAP.
Q. Can I schedule two massages, one for me and one for a friend, back-to-back?
A. Yes, as long as you can be flexible with the date and
time since consecutive, two hour blocks of time can sometimes be challenging to schedule. I am happy to accommodate my client's
needs and I love giving you want you want whenever it is reasonable to do so, so please ask.
